Padre Pio and Elisa Lucchi

Elisa Lucchi was a "spiritual daughter" of Padre Pio, among the first. One year before the saint's death, she asked him in confession if he advised her to read Maria Valtorta. The answer, reported by a friend, was clear: "I do not advise you, I order you." This is an opinion consistent with testimonies collected elsewhere.
