White limestone cape located south of Tyre, and 2 km north of Alexandroscene.

Description

As they finish the arduous climb of the Tyre ladders, Jesus declares to his Apostles: «From the summit we will see Alexandroscene beyond which lies the White Cape»[1].

It is the Promontorium Album (=White Cape) described by Pliny[2] In 1884 Victor Guérin, in "Holy Land, second part", says that this promontory was then called Le Ras el Abyad (Promontorium Album of Pliny), which is exactly the name Maria Valtorta gives it!
