Excerpt from the Geographical Dictionary of the Gospel According to Maria Valtorta, by Jean-François Lavère:At the very beginning of the third year of public life, Jesus sends the apostles to evangelize along an important Roman road: "along the Tabor and caravan road, you will go to Debaret, Tiberias, Magdala, Capernaum".[2] One week later, they report on their activity: "On the way to Deberet, near the village, we cured a man"[1] Archaeological excavations were carried out in 1989 at Khirbet Dabura, at the western foot of Mount Tabor, on the caravan route. This is believed to be the place where the prophetess Deborah lived. The town is mentioned in the Bible,[3] and also by Eusebius of Caesarea: "Daberath… a village of the Jews on Mount Tabor".[4] Maria Valtorta provides here a phonetic spelling (Deberet) that argues in favor of the authenticity of her visions.

- It lies on the western slope of Mount Tabor, a strategic and historic site.

- Daberath was a town, in the Bible located in the territory of the tribe of Issachar, on the border with Zebulun.
- It was assigned to the Gershonite Levites according to biblical tradition.
- The town is associated with biblical events, notably the battle of Barak against Sisera, which is said to have taken place near this region.
- The meaning of the name Daberath is often related to "meadow" or "pasture".
