Doubt

Doubt originates from the fear of being wrong. But God deceives no one, which is why Doubt of him is a fault. Faced with Doubt, one must pray to ask for more faith.

- The deadly danger of Doubt: During the Passion of Joseph who believes himself betrayed by Mary whom he sees pregnant upon returning from Elizabeth and Zacharias (Visitation): The Virgin says: "Who can tell my struggle against the Discouragement that sought to overwhelm me to persuade me that I had hoped in vain in the Lord? Oh! I believe it was a rage of Satan! I felt Doubt seize me by the shoulders and extend its tentacles to imprison my Soul and stop it in its prayer. Doubt, so dangerous, deadly to the spirit. - Jesus says to Peter who, like him, walks on the Waters, then Doubt, panic and sinks: "Man of little faith. Why did you doubt Me?"[2]

- Martha, shaken by the death of Lazarus, Doubts that Jesus is the Truth. Mary of Magdala (Magdalene) her sister, truly at her wit's end, does not know what to answer and weeps.[4]
