Jesus, the Good Shepherd

Jesus, in the Gospel, presents himself as a shepherd who loves his flock and watches over them tenderly. This image is also used by him in the work of Maria Valtorta.

In "The Gospel as it was revealed to me"

• The Good Shepherd (the lost sheep).
• The crowds were like sheep without a shepherd (-).
• I am the good Shepherd, and my sheep know me.-
• I am the good Shepherd. And a shepherd, when he is good, gives his life to defend his flock from Wolves and thieves.-
• I am the Universal Shepherd and I must gather all the sheep who want to enter my flock. I make no distinction between healthy and sick sheep, between weak and strong sheep, between the sheep who know me, already being part of God’s flock, and the sheep who until now did not know me and did not even know the true God.
