Truth, sincerity
[Truth] from the Latin veritas: true.
Quality of what is true. Truth is the conformity of the intellect and reality. It is not given ready-made; it is made, it is the fruit of effort and research. Scientific truth belongs to the realm of knowledge, whereas in the Bible truth is not the object of knowledge; it is the «Word made flesh». Jesus proclaims: “I am the Truth..”[1], he affirms that in Him, God becomes the truth of our life and calls us to a renunciation that makes us live. He wants “all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.”[2]-[3]

Jesus, the Way, the Truth, and the Life
- From Soul John, the will of penance had made, while it was already so clear because of his purity, a masterpiece of clarity where Truth reflected itself with sharpness.[4]
- I mean that if someone comes to Truth with a Heart upright, Truth will spread like Leaven in the mass of flour and like incense for all Israel.[5]

What is True
- I should say: error. But since you do it without malice, through ignorance of what truth is, it is not an error, but only an imperfect judgment as a child's judgment can be.[11]
- Satan distorts the truth in order to create confusion in thoughts.[12]
Being Frank and Sincere
- Be sincere. I am the Truth. In things above as in human matters. I want you to be frank too.[13]
- It is enough to tell the truth and to be good to attract the hatred of the crowd after the first moment of enthusiasm. Truth is reproach and warning. Goodness deprives of the whip (of the tamer) and leads those who are not good to no longer fear.[14]
- In matters of truth, honesty, moral conduct, there is no adaptation or compromise.[15]
