Jacob of Arbela and his wife
These inhabitants of the Decapolis are parents of Philip, a cruel son. They were about to throw him out. His mother was going to plead for a conversion, which she obtained, from Jesus at the Clear Water.
"Your son is there. I am here. But God is everywhere. I say to God: 'Father, have mercy on this mother'. And the call of God will resound like thunder in your son’s heart. Go, woman. One day I will pass through the villages of your country and you, a proud mother of your son, will come with him to meet Me."[1]
This is what will happen one year later during an apostolic journey. Philip will become one of the future deacons of the nascent Church.
