Joachim of Gibeon

From Wiki Maria Valtorta
Jesus heals the mute child with a Kiss on the mouth. His mother explains to him how this child, her first-born, was destined in the Heart of his parents to be a Levite even before his birth. He can be one now that he is without defect:
"It is not for me that I had asked the Lord with my husband Joachim, but so that he might serve the Lord. And it is not so that he calls me mother and tells me that he loves me that I asked for speech for him. His eyes and his Kisses already told me that. But I asked for him to be able to, like a lamb without defect, be wholly offered to the Lord, and praise the Name."[1]
To which Jesus replies:
"The Lord heard the word of his Soul, because He, like a mother, transforms feelings into words and acts. But your desire was good and the Most High has blessed it. Now apply yourself to educate your son for perfect praise so that he may be perfect in the service of the Lord."[1]

His name

Joachim, and its multiple spellings: Ioakim, Jojakim, Jéhojakim, Jehoïakim, Yoaquim, Joiaqim, Yoyaqim, means "God raises," like the similar name Eliakim or Eliaqim.
