Advice, Opinions, Recommendations
Asking for advice or opinions is part of human nature, especially in difficult moments or Trials. To evaluate their value, prayer is very useful: for example, praying to the Virgin Mary or the Holy Spirit to be enlightened.
In "The Gospel as it was revealed to me"[edit | edit source]
- Lazarus asks Jesus for advice about his secular readings.[1]
- Advice has two values: that of the source it comes from, which is already great because it can have incalculable consequences, and that of the Heart to which it is given.[2]
- It is uselessly that someone is tempted by bad advice. If he does not want to sin, he will not sin.[3]
- It is bad advice to say: "Do not do this thing that may harm you," while pretending a benevolent interest, and it is bad advice to persecute to persuade the one you want to mislead to fail in his Mission. It is bad advice to tell supporters: "Defend at all costs and by all means the just persecuted one," and it is bad advice to tell the supporters: "If you protect him, you will face our indignation."[4]
