Man, Humanity, Human
Man, the most perfect of creatures, because he has a Soul in addition to matter, intelligence in addition to instinct, freedom in addition to order, man similar to God by The Spirit, similar to the animal by flesh, the half-God who becomes God by the Grace of God and his own will.[1]
In "The Gospel as it was Revealed to Me"
- Man created in the likeness of God.[2]
- The three states of man: The lower state, animal. The intermediate state, moral. The higher state, spiritual.[3]
- Man was the perfection of creation.[4]
- Man is the work of patient progress, the current man, and he will always progress more in knowledge and in power, which will be holy or not, according to the will of men. But man did not become learned in a day. The First Ones sent out from the Garden had everything to learn, slowly, progressively.[5]
- The humanity of the Apostles! How heavy it is! I carried on my arms, to raise them to Heaven, masses whose weight pulled them toward the earth... The day came when even my John and his brother desired that glory which dazzles you like a mirage, even in things of Heaven.[6]
- Man of the humanity of man by Jesus: "That is why I came knowing in advance what I would find and what I would have to do. When one has no illusions, one is not disappointed, one does not lose breath."[7]
- A man who becomes disciple because he knows that my human cause is already lost can only be a right spirit.[8]
- God is the Unique, Supreme Being, Creator of all things and all men. He is therefore the God of all men. He knows them, even if they do not know Him. He loves them, even if they, for lack of knowing Him, do not love Him, or if knowing Him poorly they love Him poorly, or if knowing Him they do not know how to love Him.[9]
- Man, the most perfect of creatures, because he has a Soul in addition to matter, intelligence in addition to instinct, freedom in addition to order, man similar to God by The Spirit, similar to the animal by flesh, the half-God who becomes God by the Grace of God and his own will.[10]
- I took a man's body to save you, to destroy sin, not to sin. I took it to remove your sins, not to sin with you. I took it to love you, but with a love that gives its life, its blood, its word, everything, to lead you to Heaven, to Justice, not to love you like a brute. And not even like a man, for I am more than a man.[11]
