Apparitions

From Wiki Maria Valtorta

Risen Jesus appears to Mary Magdalene.
The Apparitions mostly belong to the domain of private revelations, except for the Apparitions mentioned in the Holy Scripture Holy. One can distinguish Apparitions of pure spirits, such as the Angels or saints who will regain their bodies at the final resurrection, and the material Apparitions, those of the Christ risen who shows himself as he is corporally to the Apostles.

In "The Gospel as It Was Revealed to Me"

  • As he promised, Jesus regularly appears to John of Endor exiled in Antioch: Sintica writes on this subject: "If I did not know his secret, (that of John of Endor) I would be amazed. But since that night when returning from a sick person I found him ecstatic and transfigured, and I heard his words and prostrated myself, I realized that You were present to your servant, I can no longer be surprised."[1]
  • Apparition of the risen Jesus to Johanna of Chuza.[2]
  • Jesus appeared in a very curious way. The wall behind the guests lit up in the middle, about one meter from the ground, with a weak and phosphorescent light... The light, about two meters high, has an oval shape like a niche. In the brightness, as if advancing from behind the veils of a luminous mist, Jesus emerges with increasing clarity.[3]

In the Notebooks

  • Catechesis of May 13, 1943: As I have told you many times[4], I dreamed of Jesus, Mary, and the Saints. However, while Jesus was always "alive," the Virgin and the Saints were like statues or paintings: representations […] I saw (in a dream) Padre Pio of Pietrelcina and spoke to him. And I felt his perfume, not in a dream but awake this time.[5]
  • Catechesis of December 2, 1943: The Holy Spirit works in the Heart of the saints and gives them lights of supernatural knowledge. The Holy Spirit enlightens the Hearts of the saints so that they see me. To see me in the light of God means to love me in truth.[6]
  • Catechesis of December 28, 1947: Mary: At Lourdes, at Fatima, in the Apparitions in general, I appear as I am now in heaven, and my appearance already has the indescribable luminous beauty of the bodies glorified. This beauty, the seers of those Apparitions never fully grasp, in all its details.[7]
