Resurrection, The Resurrected

From Wiki Maria Valtorta
The Day of Resurrection - Heinrich Hofmann

The Resurrection of Christ is the foundation of the Christian faith. It expresses both the divine nature of Jesus, his victory over death and sin, and constitutes a glimpse of the final resurrection of all the elect. During his public life, Jesus also performed some resurrections on recently deceased people.

In "The Gospel as It Was Revealed to Me"

Resurrected Jesus

  • The Resurrection of Jesus.[1]
  • Resurrected Jesus appears to his mother.[2]
  • The appearance to the holy Women.[3]
  • Jesus describes the process of his Resurrection.[4]
  • The appearance to Lazarus.[5]
  • The appearance to Johanna of Chuza.[6]
  • The appearance to Joseph of Arimathea, Nicodemus and Manaen.[7]
  • The appearance to the shepherds.[8]
  • The appearance to the Disciples of Emmaus.[9]
  • How was He resurrected? you ask. I answer: He was resurrected with his true flesh and with his Divine Spirit that dwells in Him, as in every mortal flesh there is, dwelling within it, the Soul which is king in the Heart.[10]
  • Jesus breaks the bread and reveals Himself for what He is: the Resurrected One. This is not the radiant Resurrected One who appeared to others who are dearer to Him. But He is a Jesus full of majesty, with clear wounds in his long hands: red roses on the ivory of the skin. A Jesus truly alive in his reconstituted flesh, but also truly God in the majesty of his looks and of his whole aspect.[11]
  • The appearance to friends.[12]
  • First appearance to the ten Apostles.[13]
  • Second appearance to the eleven Apostles, with Thomas returned.[14]
  • New appearance of the resurrected Jesus.[15]
  • (The wounds of the crucifixion) are the Salvation of the world. Salvation is in them. The world which hates them opened them, but Love made them Remedy and Light. It is through them that Sin was nailed. It is through them that all the sins of men were hung and sustained so that the Fire of Love may consume them on the true Altar.[16]
  • Appearance on the shore of the Sea of Tiberias.[17]
  • Appearance to the five hundred on Mount Tabor.[18]

Resurrections performed by Jesus

Jesus, source of resurrection

  • Jesus gives resurrection in the flesh and especially in the spirit.[26]
  • I am the Resurrection and the Life![27]
  • The morning of the Resurrection.[28]
  • The appearance of resurrected Jesus.[29]

Resurrection in eternal life

  • Not only will the spirits be reunited and love each other as on earth and much more, but they will rejoice to see each other again with the appearance they had on earth.[30]
  • The Soul accompanies man from the moment it is created until death, and it survives awaiting the general resurrection to unite once again with the resurrected body and have with it reward or punishment.[31]
  • The Earth will expel from its bowels all the bones of men who have died on it and were buried in its mud, from Adam to the last man. And then will be the resurrection of the dead, for the great and supreme judgment after which, like a Sodom apple, the world will be emptied to become a nothingness, and it will be the end of the firmament with its stars.[32]
  • Humanity that preceded us and that was righteous will return to the place destined for it, with at the head the Firstborn, already complete in his flesh and in his spirit, and with his brothers in the garment of light that they will have until the moment when their flesh will also be settled to jubilation.[33]
  • Commentary on the vision Ezekiel 37:4 and following about the bones: "There are two resurrections of what is dry, dead to life. Two, which are reflected in the words of the prophet. The first is the resurrection to Life and in Life, that is in the Grace which is Life […] And there is a second universal resurrection: in which charred and scattered bones for centuries will become fresh and covered with nerves, flesh and skin. And that will be the Judgment.[34]
