Birth, rebirth

From Wiki Maria Valtorta

In the Gospel, birth takes on an additional meaning: to be born, or reborn of the Spirit, as opposed to the birth of the flesh.

In "The Gospel as it was revealed to me"

  • To Nicodemus: Jesus said: "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water, he cannot see the Kingdom of God." Nicodemus said to him: "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?" Jesus answered him: "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of Water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God. What is born of the flesh is flesh, and what is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not be amazed that I said to you: You must be born from above"[1] and [2]
  • To Lazarus resurrected: You who are like reborn, newly born, for in your old flesh the driving power is new, without past, pure, without traces of what has been, you who have returned to serve me, for that alone, you must be as I am, more than all.[3]
