Ishmael of Bethany

From Wiki Maria Valtorta

Jesus meets this old man from the borders of Syria during the Sermon on the Mount. He has been abandoned by his daughter, but wants to go to Jerusalem for Passover, doubtless his last before dying.

Jesus entrusts him to Sarah, a destitute widow whom he has just healed. He also recommends these two poor people, through Simon the Zealot (Apostle), to Lazarus who entrusts the old man with the care of his hives. Ishmael grows fond of the bees and talks to them as to his daughters.[1] He falls asleep peacefully in death some time later.[2]
