Nara, Samira and Sirah
Three sisters bereaved by their only brother. Their mother died of grief. They come to ask Jesus to advise and to pray for them.
"Of course I will pray. I will pray to God that He gives you Peace and that your brother converts and remembers you by giving you back what he owes you and especially by coming back to love you."[1] Later, Jesus sends Peter to bring some relief to the three sisters reduced to eating "their poor bread seasoned with tears and forgiveness", but the brother is harder than ever. They nonetheless hope for his conversion.[2]
Character and appearance
They forgive their brother on Jesus’s recommendation.[3]
Apostolic journey
Their faith will doubtless lead them to follow Jesus, as we find a Syra among the holy Women on the morning of the Resurrection. This holy Woman is close enough to Jesus that He manifests Himself to her and gives "a caress": a reward for their perseverance and/or the conversion of their brother?[4]
