"As the village is on an elevation, the air is clear also on a dull day, one’s eyes rove towards Jerusalem to the south and towards Ramah to the north (I say Ramah because it is written on a milestone with the indication of the miles).[1]

Jesus performs the miracle of the wind here.[3] This village is home to Eliza who maintains a rear base there for a Jesus increasingly persecuted in Jerusalem. Jesus receives Valeria there while she is in the process of divorcing and advises her;[4] he heals the young Levi there.
Its name
Nob or Nob is a locality situated northeast of Jerusalem on the eastern slope of Mount Scopus (Ras el-Mesharif).
There is conjecture about its current location: some postulate Shouafat (Tell Shuafat, Shafât) northwest of the Mount, others postulate Isawiya (el-Isawiyeh, El Aisawiyeh, Al Sawana) to the east of the mount, on the road to Anatoth (Anâta).
This last hypothesis seems plausible, in accordance with what Maria Valtorta and biblical references say about it.[5]
