    From Wiki Maria Valtorta

After the massacre by Herod who drives the shepherds out of Bethlehem. He is a disciple of John the Baptist, like the shepherds John and Matthias.[1] They remain faithful to him until his death, with the assent of Jesus.

Thanks to the intervention of Manaen, himself a disciple, Simeon serves in the stables of the châtWater of Machaerus where the Baptist was imprisoned for the second time. As such, he is among those who come to announce his death to Jesus.[2]

All of them will follow Jesus from now on.
