Elias of Alexandroscene

From Wiki Maria Valtorta

One of the three sons of a proselyte, Alphaeus, and a Greek woman, Myrtica. Like his brothers Daniel and Philip, he is a prosperous merchant of Alexandroscene.

They suffer from being mixed blood and being despised for it:
"The Galileans are better than the Jews. There is too much mold among them. They do not forgive us for having blood that is not pure. They would do better to have, themselves, a pure Soul".[1]
They have therefore been unable to find someone to marry.

They welcome Jesus and some Disciples who can give them news of their sister Hermione of Antigonea, married to a servant of Lazarus, Dositheus.

The three brothers invite the crowd to listen to Jesus who speaks about the Workers of the eleventh hour. This degenerates because of the Enemies of Jesus. He is driven away and the brothers threatened.[2]

Apostolic journey[edit | edit source]

Elijah confesses his faith:
- Can you To Believe that I am the Messiah?

- Believing costs nothing, especially when you hope that what you believe can take away what causes suffering.

- That is true, Elijah. But do not speak like that. It is a very impure thought, much more than mixed blood. Rejoice not in the hope that what makes you suffer as a man, the contempt of others, will fall away, but rejoice in the hope of conquering the Kingdom of the Heavens.

- You are right. I am half pagan, Lord...

- Do not humble yourself. I love you too and it is also for you that I have come.
