Esther of Nazareth

A little old Galilean woman from Nazareth. She died of grief because of her son Samuel, a liar and murderer:

"I made my mother die of pain... even on the last night... she was exhausted... and I had no mercy... I struck her, Lord!!! I struck her!... She died in the night!..."

Samuel would later say, tormented by the most terrible remorse.

"Esther died, killed by the pain because of her son’s behavior. Will you imitate her, you, apostle of the Lord? Will you make your mother die of pain?"

said Mary, who kept vigil all night at the dying woman and found in the morning a Judas liar.
