Samuel the murderous son

From Wiki Maria Valtorta
The son liar and murderer who causes his mother grief Esther to die.
"Samuel, her son, began to become the shame of Nazareth with small lies which later became bigger and bigger... From there, he came to everything else (homicide). Do you want to imitate him, you, apostle of the Lord? Do you want to make your mother die of pain?" said Mary who kept vigil all night by Esther dying and found in the morning a lying Judas again.[1]
Samuel himself will come to see Samuel, in the name of Jesus, but to terrorize him.[2]

Samuel, tormented by remorse, appears insane and absolutely refuses to listen to reason. Then begins a dialogue between Jesus, defender of justice and Mary interceding for forgiveness in the name of the prayer of the dying Esther. Mary wins the forgiveness. Samuel will come to Capernaum.[3]

Samuel indeed rebelled against Jesus in Capernaum. He bursts into sobs throwing himself on the ground:
- "If you do not forgive me, I will have no Peace..."
- "When I wanted to make you good, why did you not want it? Now it is too late to make amends. Your mother is dead."
- "Lord! Lord! Mercy! I was mad and You healed me, I hoped in You, before I despaired of everyone. Do not disappoint my hope..."
- "And why did you despair?"
- "Because... I made my mother die of pain... even the last evening... she was exhausted... and I had no mercy... I struck her, Lord!!!... She died in the night!... And she only told me to be good... My mother!... I killed her..."
- "I should not forgive you, but two mothers have prayed for you, and your repentance is sincere. I therefore forgive you."[4]

Character and appearance

Same age as Jesus.[5]

Murderer and liar. Tormented by the madness of remorse.

Apostolic path

"By an honest life, erase from the Heart of your fellow citizens the memory of a sinful Samuel, and reclaim your mother. You will do this if by a just life you gain heaven and your mother with it. But remember, and good remember that your sin was great and therefore your justice must be proportionally great to extinguish your debt."[6]
Samuel will take the path of repentance. He is found with the Galileans awaiting Jesus in Jerusalem.[7] Maria Valtorta mentions the name Alphée, but this is probably a slip.
