Joachim of Bozrah
Husband of Mary of Bozrahh. This inhabitant of the Auranitide adores his Woman who became leprous out of generosity: She had indeed fallen ill because of her pity, while caring for a beggar who had not declared himself leprous. Joachim builds her a shelter deep in his lands. Every evening he goes to her enclosure and, weeping, brings her food. She will be healed by Jesus.[1]
The couple become disciples of Jesus and are found in Jerusalem with the apostolic group.[2]
Later, he goes astray in the plot organized by Chuza to make Jesus crowned king[3], but he will redeem himself.
Apostolic Journey
He will benefit, like his Woman, from the appearance of the risen Jesus,[4] who sends them to evangelize the inhabitants of Bozrah, and to testify on Mount Tabor among the gathered Disciples.[5]
